When we began planning D+E’s Sacramento maternity session months ago, we had no idea that we’d be battling atmospheric rivers and record-breaking rainfall. But by an absolute miracle, we were able to head out to one of my favorite spots and capture this sweet, growing fam. And what a dose of joy it was!
In almost every session, there are moments that remind me why my job is so important; that documenting milestone seasons for people is a gift to cherish forever. But sometimes the magnitude of it all comes crashing down in this wonderful, monumental way, just like it did at D+E’s Sacramento maternity session. About 3 minutes into our session, E looked at D and said, “we’re doing it!” with the biggest smile on her face. It was quick and likely not meant for my ears, but there it was; that monumental feeling of how lucky I am.
